03. November was a historic event in European education of trainers, for the first time in hand, 13 experts from all over Europe were promoted to the academic title of EHF Master Coach. To avoid terminological confusion, all of them already had an EHF Master Coach who had previously acquired a vocation, but by continuing their education in a special – for the first time organized EHF project and the University of Las Palmas from Spain, they became the „zero“ generation by successfully defending their theses .

EHF’s seat in Vienna gathered eminent trainer names like; Dragana Djukica (SRB) of the current selector of Montenegro, Nenad Sostaric of the women’s national team coach of Croatia, Gintaras Savukyunas coach of the Finnish „Cocks“ and the Lithuanian national team, Vlada Cabu trainer of the Romanian CSM, Zivojina Maksica coach of women’s national team of Serbia, Wolfgang Polonia EHF lecturers from Austria, Gregor Cvijica and Uros Mohoric from Slovenia, Romana Filts and Erwin Gierlinger from Austria, Tiago Oliveira from Portugal, Zoran Abramovic from Montenegro.

Interesting themes that will soon be available on the EHF official website, the candidates defended themselves in front of the commission they made: Prof. Miguel Betancour from Spain, Pedro Seguier from Portugal, member of the EHF Method Committee, Carmen Manchado from Spain, member of the EHF Competition Commission and Helmut Horish, responsible for education and development in the EHF. Mentors were known names from the list of EHF lecturers: Klaus Feldmann (GER), Prof. B. Pokrajac (SRB), Prof. M. Sibila (SLO), Zoltan Marczinka (HUN), etc.

The EHF Method Commission intends to continue this education in the coming years, and we are proud that half of the total number of candidates (even six of them) from the ex-Yu area is hopeful that in the future, the handball will have a significant role in the European dimension .

Congratulations!
