Dragan Adzic: „SOMETIMES YOU MORE LEARNING FROM LOSE THEN IN WIN“

The young handball team of Buducnost achieved a convincing victory in the first round of the Champions League over Germany’s Bitengheim with the result of 32:24, and thus best opened the European season, so that after that, Dragan Adžić’s favorites would have suffered two defeats on two difficult tournaments.

From Podgorica, they were better than Weipers, who celebrated with 29:19, that in the third round would be Better Mec, who entered the victory by score 27:23.

The announcements by the coach of the Podgorica club that the oscillations in the young team’s games could be great were obvious, as was evident in the matches with the Norwegians and the French.

The future, however, still has great chances to find himself in the second phase of the Champions League, in which the placement will be won by the three best teams from the group, while Adžić’s team will have somewhat easier schedules when they will meet on the floor of the Vajpers and Metz, will play against Bitingheim.

– Sometimes you learn more from defeat than from victory. Of course, we are not happy that we lost to Weber and Mac, but it is very important that a young team gets experience, progresses from day to day and still has real prospects for placement in the second phase of the competition. We will have a slightly easier schedule, because we play two games on our parquet floor and this is obviously much more pleasant to the team I run now. I hope for better results and I hope that we will win the competition in the next round of the competition. But, I repeat the primary goal is to make the team progress from day to day. First of all, I would very much like to take the placement further because young handball players would have the opportunity to continue with the best teams in Europe with acquiring knowledge and experience, said Adzic.

We will continue with the hard work and I hope to be able to reach the finish line, and that is placement in the second phase of the competition. This would be a straightforward placement for this kind of young team in the final tournament, which took us by the hand of the previous two years, concluded Dragan Adzic.

The next match in the championship championship Buducnost is against Metal on November 4 in Podgorica.
