Spanish Juan Carlos Pastor finally won the Hungarian handball. The gold medalist with Spain in Tunis in 2005 arrived in 2013 in Szeged, where he watched for four seasons in the back of the Vespers, led by his countrymen – Antonio Carlos Ortega and Cavi Sabate. Only in the fifth season, an experienced specialist who made excellent results with Valladolid, and in 2014 he won the EHF Cup with Segedin, came to the most valuable trophy, according to many of the three most valuable clubs, since you have to leave one behind the best European teams.
For the goal PIK Seged was finally better than Vespreme, and when everything was over, Pastor dedicated his title to his father who passed away last year:
– Congratulations to the Vespers on the great finals. We were better at these two games and earned the title. We believed that we could do this and we succeeded. I congratulate the MOL-Pik family and Mr. Chania, who had confidence in me and when the results were not good last December.
