The selector of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bilal Suman, will continue to perform that function – according to the new agreement he signed with the Federation until October 2024.
On the penultimate day of December, the contract was signed at the Hills Hotel in Ilidža. Schumann took over the selector’s role in 2016 from Dragan Markovic, and his greatest success is the placement at the European Championship in 2020.
We used the gathering of national team members for the January qualification matches against the Estonian national team to sign a contract with the Federation of BiH, which will last until October 2024. We have plans, and our goals are quite clear. We want to be participants in the European and World Championships, and to activate the youth selections as much as possible in order to get those new potential national team members, because for many years the skeleton of the national team has been the same, not to mention the last seven or eight years. We must strive for new players in all these youth selections – said Suman.
