Kim Rasmussen: The longest game in my career!

The women’s national team of Montenegro achieved huge success by winning the third consecutive participation in the Olympic Games, winning the qualifying tournament in their city, despite the defeat by Romania 25:28.

Only a few months after taking office, selector Kim Rasmussen entered the history of Montenegrin handball in golden letters.

– The longest game of my career. So many things happened. Gina got two exclusions, Pletikosic received a red card, the choice of players was narrowed… It was very difficult to play mentally, but I am so happy for everyone. This was the longest second half of my life. Each team has something special – you need to recognize what is special and use it to win. We had incredible defenses, incredible aggression. It is my job to believe that everyone who enters the game believes that they can win – Rasmussen said after the match.

The Danish expert will participate in the Olympic Games for the first time in his career.

– I welcomed the first Olympic Games. We made a big step, and there we go match after match, first to see the group – Rasmussen said.
