Serbian expert Bojan Butulija and CSM Resita have terminated their cooperation. After the end of the half-season, the club’s management decided to disband the team and go down to a lower rank, but after that the decision changed and it was decided that the club would continue to compete in the highest rank, but with domestic players and juniors.
After the break, the management of the club wants to continue the championship with the younger forces, even though the original plan was to disband the entire team?
– Yes, a decision was made to shut down the team due to lack of budget. A few days later, it was changed because the people who run the club realized that it was better to reduce the budget as much as possible and thus continue the championship, which will give room for the affirmation of juniors and home players.
What is the general impression of Romanian handball and your stay in Resice?
– Staying in Romania is a great and valuable experience. For me, another big and important lesson in coaching. Romanian handball is constantly advancing, bearing in mind that clubs bring a lot of foreign players who, in most cases, have to be representatives of the countries they come from. Dinamo’s team from Bucharest proved with their games in last year’s CHAMPIONS LEAGUE that good handball is played in Romania. In the years to come, the same is expected from the Romanian national team, which has not had good results so far, despite a large investment in handball.
Your further plans and goals?
– My further plans are not to plan, but to accumulate spent energy and wait for new challenges as soon as possible, concluded Bojan Butulija
