In 2019, Zoran Roganović took over the Guifa handball players and in a year and a half he did enough good things to deserve a new contract. The Swedish club announced today that the Montenegrin expert signed by June 2024.
At the moment when the last season was interrupted due to the corona virus, the team from Exilstuna was 12th out of 14 teams, after collecting 15 points in 31 matches.
After 19 matches this season, Roganović’s team almost equalized last year’s point performance. He recorded seven victories and won 14 points, occupying the 10th place among 15 teams, with Guif playing two or three matches more than most of the teams that were worse placed.
The selector of the Montenegrin national team is a legend of Swedish club handball, which he joined in 2003 and scored a record 2,277 goals over 15 years. Before he became the head coach of the first team of Guifa, Zoran Roganović worked as a coach with the younger selections of H43 Lund, the club where he spent most of his playing career, and he was also an assistant at Lugija.
